VMA Eye Bank is a part of VMA NNN Cornea service which functions to collect the eye from the community for utilization in VMA NNN cornea service. VMA Eye Bank is the only eye bank of Medinipur (Both East & West) established in 2008 with the financial help from Dr. Lituin & Ms. Judith. Since it’s establishment we are working tirelessly to establish VMA NNN as an esteemed centre for cornea transplantation. Our eye bank covers the whole undivided Medinipur and Howrah to collect the precious and priceless donation from our community. Last year we have received 50 pairs of Eyes. We are doing both Full thickness (PKP) and Partial thickness (DALK/ DSEK) cornea transplantation and Limbal stem cell transplantation (SLET) from our collected tissue.
