Outreach
Vivekananda Mission Asram Netra Niramay Niketan is actively reaching out to people through outreach camps in southern part of west Bengal. In most rural areas patients are not able to reach health care facilities. To overcome the barriers of service camps are conducted free of charges to people. There are permanent community partners to hold the camps and partial support for surgery come either from National Programme or philanthropic organizations.
We conduct following types of free eye screening camps.
- Comprehensive Eye Screening Camp
- Refraction Camp
- Diabetic Retinopathy screening
- ROP Screening
A team of medical and paramedical personnel with portable equipments reach the villages to conduct camps on prescheduled days.
Cataract patients are advised and transported to base hospital for surgery by hospital vehicle and follow-up is done in camps and Vision Centers of VMANNN.
